  1. Boat, motor, and trailer familiarization. Top to bottom, stem to stern. You will learn what it does, how to use it, and how to care for it.
  2. Use of required safety equipment and equipment you will need for your activities. In depth fire extinguisher training.
  3. Trailer hook ups and trailer towing.
  4. Pre-launch activities including the important concepts of passenger team building and safety briefings.
  5. Trailer backing using side view mirrors only.
  6. One person and team boat launching.
  7. Docking and tying off.
  8. Getting underway. Effect of wind and current on boat operation.
  9. Safe, responsible, boat operation following rules and regulations.
  10. Recognition and compliance with navigational aids and informational markers.
  11. Practice sound environmental procedures.
  12. Safe maneuvering, stopping, and backing at slow and high speeds.
  13. Practice Rules of the Road for crossing, meeting, and overtaking other watercraft.
  14. Anchoring and Mooring.
  15. Beaching.
  16. Parallel parking and docking.
  17. Simulated on water emergencies including Engine Fire, Person Overboard, and Boat "Dead in the Water".
  18. One person and team trailering.
  19. Post use and towing preparation.
