The following testimonials are from a few of the HUNDREDS of B.E.S.T. Graduates. Over the last 11 years I have had the pleasure of helping people really ENJOY their boating experience. Spend a FEW hours GET A LIFETIME of SAFE FUN
Captain Bob Kelso has given my wife and I Hands On instruction on numerous occasions, starting with the basics (our first boat) advancing to distance traveling and night time cruising. We found his instruction to be very informative and practical. Bob's training is worth far more than he charged. The knowledge and confidence we gained will last us a life time. We can now confidently go when and where we want, Day or Night.

My oldest son and I took the Hands On class from Bob a few years ago. Recently I had the rest of the family go through his training. Bob is very thorough, his Hands On training was excellent. The kids really learned to be responsible boaters. I highly recommend Bob Kelso to everyone.

Our family pooled our money and bought our first boat 2 years ago. We still couldn't get the hang of parking in our slip (we have to back in) My mother in law was terrified at the prospect of an emergency where she would have to run the boat. The 4 of us also felt we really needed a lot more Safety Training too. We found Captain Bob at the top of the Washington Parks list of courses (now I know why). After a day and a half with Captain Bob, even my mother in law was able to dock and park with ease and confidence. We passed our Boater Safety exam, the lowest score, my husband, was 94%. We should have done this 2 years ago. Boating is now truly FUN

My wife and I had owned a number of smaller boats in the past, mostly sail, we decided that when we retire we wanted to do some distance cruising. After a year of research we chose to buy a 53 Selene; our insurance company required us to get "Skipper Certified". They recommended Captain Bob Kelso. We spent a total of 7 days together that included a 4 day trip from St. Helens to Newport and back. I found Capt. Bob to be very, very, knowledge, but above all personable. If things got a little dicey, his calm demeanor and assurance, saved the day and our physique. He is a master of positive re-enforcement. Now 2 years later, my wife insists that she is the "REAL SKIPPER" and I'm just the "DECK HAND and GALLEY SLAVE". Thanks Bob.
